Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s
The end of Alzheimer’s starts here.
We walk to reclaim the future for millions. We walk for the loved ones that struggle with living with Alzheimer’s, both as caregivers and patients. Flower Mound Assisted Living supports the Alzheimer’s Association and the work they do by helping raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.

Seniors S.O.S. Program
Connecting past generations of soldiers with the present
The Seniors S.O.S. Program or Seniors Serving Our Soldiers started in 2009 when a volunteer who was serving in the Army Reserves joined us for a Veteran’s Day event. He came in his dress blues and before even entering our event he stood and saluted the veterans. The room began to stir still as one veteran after the other stood to acknowledge the soldier. Some held their hand to their heart, knowing all too well the sacrifice he has made, while others nodded their heads in remembrance of a time when they too donned very similar dress blues. Everywhere you looked you could see compassion, reverence, and gratitude reflected in the eyes of every elder in the room.
This is a generation that knows all too well about sacrifice. These are the sisters, brothers, and wives that stood by and watched as their loved ones went off to war. Some of whom paid the ultimate sacrifice. This generation holds a special connection with today’s military men and women, who leave their country, family, and home in order to protect what we hold near and dear to our hearts. This is why the Seniors S.O.S. was created, to allow seniors and soldiers to connect while also offering support and empathy to one another.
A soldier is chosen each year and “adopted” by the community. Once a month, care packages are sent out containing letters, baked goods, and every day comforts from home.
