Family and Resident Testimonials
My in-laws reside at Flower Mound Assisted Living-the staff is very caring and professional. Both residents have Alzheimer's and can be a handful. The staff makes dealing with this reality much easier and worry-free.

FMAL is family! It's such a pleasure to visit and feel a part of the "family." The staff treats the residents with such gentleness and respect!

After my first visit with then assistant director, Kim Geron, I knew that FMAL was the right place for my loved ones. Kim genuinely cares about the residents. The staff she chooses is a reflection of her understanding of the needs of her "family."

What is my favorite part of living or having mom live at FMAL? For the first time since moving from the home she loved, it's so wonderful to hear how "at home" she feels in her "apartment!"

There are so many happy pictures that come to mind when I think about our association with FMAL: hymn singing with the residents, visiting with "the family" during dinner, exercise time with Donna, the gentle support of the staff and the sparkling eyes of residents playing a beanbag softball game against a teen girl baseball team.

My mother, Margie, moved into FMAL in March of 2009 and we have had an extraordinarily positive experience from the very beginning with your community both from her standpoint and from ours. I believe what makes your place superior is, of course, your staff and its management. Each and every one of your staff has a superior attitude which I think is absolutely crucial in providing good care and assistance to your residents.
I’m glad we chose FMAL and I highly recommend it for someone like Margie who still has some level of independence but needs important care and assistance with medication, meals and just everyday attention.

I love FMAL because my dad feels "at home" living there. There is not one staff member that isn't like "family" to my dad and my family. Each and everyone of them go out of their way to make it feel like home.

I picked FMAL because it was smaller than most Assisted Living places which makes it feel more like a home atmosphere. They always have activities that will interest everyone. Taking my dad to places like the Stable, the High School Dinner Theater, out to eat, going to listen to children read and shopping makes it feel more like a home. Being able to run errands even when it's not directly for my dad, makes him feel important and gets him out. At this age, getting out is a BIG deal for them all. It makes my dad feel like he "has" a life and it's not wasted or a bother to anyone. You have made "his" life and "mine" so much easier!!! Thank you again for all you do for him. It's more than you'll ever know!

I have several positive experiences with FMAL but the one that comes to mind the most is that I can always call or talk to Kim when things aren't going well for my dad. She makes me feel so much better just to talk to her. She always has an answer, whether it might be that she can check with the doctor for a different medication or to put an extra "watch" on my dad during a bad memory time. Also, the staff will go out of their way to be sure he is kept busy during the day so he will sleep better at night. I really can't say enough about FMAL. It is truly the best place for my dad. He loves it here!

I feel sure that Kim has "hand-picked" each and every one of her staff members. They are all outstanding in every department she has. They always have a smile on their face even though I'm sure they have just dealt with a difficult situation. Each member has a VERY important job and you can tell they have been told over and over what a good job they do. I love that FMAL has a board that people can jot a small "thank you" to each one. I wish I have taken the time to write more often. They desire more "thank you's" than they'll ever receive! It's not that they are not appreciated, it's just that people don't take the time to let them know the good job they all do.

Our family believes it takes very special individuals to administer to the needs of the elderly. Our Mother has been a resident of the Flower Mound Assisted Living Facility for over 9 years and to say the least is very happy there. Fortunately, FMAL has been blessed with an abundance of very special individuals who tend to the needs of the elderly in a very caring and Christian manner.

There are many reasons why we love the fact that our Dad lives at Flower Mound Assisted Living! Of course, the location was one of the big factors when we first visited, but what really set FMAL apart in our minds was the friendly atmosphere and the fact that all of the staff obviously take a great personal interest in the well-being of residents. When Dad first moved in, we were of course cautiously hoping that these "first impressions" were correct... and it wasn't long before we felt very confident that we had made a great choice! Now, after two years, we can happily say that Dad is comfortably "at home" at FMAL, and we always know he's being looked after with the utmost care.... THANKS, FMAL !!

Flower Mound Assisted Living is the absolute best! My mom's life has been so enriched by making FMAL her home. When looking for a place for my mom to move, we went here because it was close to home. But when we walked in we knew it was the best place for her. From day one she hasn't stopped telling us how she loves it there. The staff is fantastic, the activities are wonderful, and her fellow residents make it like a big family. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a warm, loving, fun place for their family member to live, this is the PLACE!

When I first relocated my dad to this area we chose another Assisted Living community. After a short time, I was very disappointed with the quality of care and attitude of the staff. I began to hopefully look for a different residence but worried they were “all alike”.
I popped in to FMAL unannounced on a Saturday afternoon and was immediately impressed by how quickly I was greeted and how warmly I was welcomed. I also noticed how comfortable it felt. When I returned on Monday to meet with the director, Kim, I realized what I had experienced was a direct reflection of her personal management style. I knew it was the place my dad needed to be.
Since he moved in 14 months ago, I have repeatedly been impressed with how caring every person who works there is and how they don’t just do their job but are genuinely concerned about my dad and all the residents. They go above and beyond every day. Their care has improved his quality of life and their competence has helped stabilize his medical conditions.
FMAL proved to me they are not "all alike!"

Not too big, not too small, but just the right size. You feel like part of a family. All the care providers really care about all of the residents. when it was a choice between rehab and coming back to Flower Mound Assisted Living after a nasty fall, my mom came back to her home. She did much better getting better being in her own surroundings with her friends, and caregivers she knew. They truly love her.

I look forward to our bible study at Flower Mound Assisted Living each week. The residents are really happy and loving. I think the residents attitudes is carried over from that of the caregivers. They really seem to dote on the residents. They really do treat them with love and respect.

I moved here from Arkansas a couple of years ago. When I first moved to Flower Mound, I was set on moving back home to Arkansas. After a while though, I changed my mind. The FMAL staff brought me into their family and made me feel at home. They joke and cut up with me and even give me a hug and a handshake when I need it. Now FMAL is my home.
